The eye color change is simply a visual cue to help audiences determine the animatronics are peaceful and when they're not.Įven so, diehard FNAF fans aren't impressed with this little detail. Additionally, it distinguishes the two modes that they have: their daytime, pacifist mode (complete with white eyes) when the eatery is open, and families come to get their fill of pizza and animatronic-based fun, and their night time, set-to-kill mode. Now, there's a clear reason why the animatronics' eyes change color when they're in attack mode. There is, though, one aspect of the teaser – and film by proxy – that fans aren't happy with: the animatronics' red eyes. Many have praised its indie horror aesthetic, the like-for-like looks of the animatronics, and the overall tone and vibe it's giving off.

Thanks to Ratalaika Games for providing a digital code for this review. Stranger things, like living spaghetti, have happened. Still, I could see someone with a lot of patience who is up for a challenge and likes the concept, actually enjoying this game. I don’t think Freddy Spaghetti is the worst game I’ve ever played but its disappointing that it wasn’t better. I’m not sure it could’ve been a great game given the concept. Actually everything about this game is not bad…until you actually start playing it.įreddy Spaghetti could’ve been a really good game. I do think the game’s graphics are not bad though. Oh and don’t even get me started on how Freddy sometimes gets caught on parts of the environment and then you have to start the whole level over… If you’re not frustrated by this control scheme right away, then you have the patience of a saint. Mae one mistake and you have to get him turned around or just start the level again. This means that Freddy moves around levels slowly. Hold the buttons to have Freddy jump forward and use the analog stick to point him in the direction you want. To move Freddy around, you have to use the L and R button on your controllers. Freddy tries to make its controls as unique as its concept and instead its frustrating and almost unplayable.įreddy Spaghetti’s levels are broken up into short challenges. Unfortunately, Freddy Spaghetti’s controls get in the way of it being a good game. Its a unique concept and I really wanted to like it more.
I like the concept and the narration that goes with it. I think it comes off as goofy and charming.
